Switchable auxiliary ports for special requirements
Automatically block unneeded signals for fast, accurate network performance testing.
The Trilithic DCVF-5 Automated Preselector Filter is designed for quick, accurate and repeatable measurements of composite triple beat, cross modulation and other spurious signals that can affect CATV system network performance.
Placed between a test instrument and the CATV system test point, the DCVF-5 blocks all unneeded signals, passing only the carrier or spectrum to be analyzed to the instrument's input. By eliminating input overload, the filter can improve an instrument's reliable measurement range as much as 30 dB.
The DCVF-5 can also be used to extend the range and accuracy of fiber optic measurements. Custom filter designs are available for specialized testing requirements.
